Forest Heights Preschool has received the HIGHEST RATING (Three Stars) by the TN Dept of Human Services. Assessments are made in the area of director qualifications, professional development, compliance, parent involvement, ratios, and programing.
Gold Sneaker: Our center was recently recognized by the state of Tennessee as a Gold Sneaker Facility. The Gold Sneaker Initiative was developed to enhance policy related to health and wellness within licensed child care facilities across Tennessee.
Our preschool offers an atmosphere that is warm, caring, accepting and loving. Children are taught values through sharing, taking turns, being friends and learning that they are important individuals. We want each child to love learning in his or her first preschool experience.
Children will have experiences in creative art and music, including group singing, fingerplays, movement and rhythm instruments, storytelling, language development, cognitive reasoning, activities which will develop small and large motor control and activities to celebrate holidays and seasons.
Curriculum
Our preschool follows the State of Tennessee curriculum,Tennessee Early Learning Developmental Standards. The TN-ELDS curriculum was developed to provide documentation of the continuum of developmental milestones from birth through age five. TN-ELDS covers: speech and language development, early literacy, math and science, social-emotional development, creative arts, and physical development.
Hours of operation are from 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
