Church Council Meeting
POSTPONED DUE TO WEATHER
The Church Council will meet on Sunday, January 25, immediately following the worship service. All members of the council should plan to attend as we begin planning for the new year. A light lunch will be served. A list of council members is posted on the bulletin board by the church office and is listed on this website under the “About Us” tab. Although only council members have voice and vote, these quarterly meetings are open to anyone in the congregation who wishes to attend.

Room in the Inn
EXTENDED UNTIL SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 1, DURING THE CONTINUED COLD WEATHER
Our congregation will once again host Room in the Inn on January 30 in our fellowship hall and gym, This outreach ministry serves men in the community who are experiencing homelessness. We will serve supper at 5:30 p.m. as well as breakfast the next morning before the men leave. Check the Communications Desk to see how you can help.
Lenten Book Study Begins February 18
Pastor Drew will be leading a Lenten study using Adam Hamilton’s book, Why Did Jesus Have To Die? This six-week study will begin on Wednesday, February 18 at 10:00 a.m. in the Resource Room. Books are $15 each and should be ordered by filling out the bulletin insert on Sunday or contacting Sue Bryant in the church office before February 9.

Ash Wednesday Service
Join us and the members of Wesley Chapel UMC as we observe the beginning of Lent. Words, music, and the imposition of ashes will lead us as we enter this contemplative church season. We encourage you to come as you prepare for the Lenten season.

United Women in Faith Meeting
The regular monthly meeting of the United Women in Faith will be Thursday, February 19, at 3:00 p.m. in the fellowship. All women of our church are invited to join this group for a time of devotion, fellowship, and working together in mission.
Saturday, February 28
Jackson Area Handbell Festival
Our handbell choir will once again participate in the annual Jackson Area Handbell Festival. Following the day long workshop, the combined choirs from several area churches will present a closing concert at 2:00 p.m. at Jackson First Baptist Church. You are invited to attend this musical celebration!
